Very easy algebra: (3) questions: -----a)(t^6)^(1/2) .....b)(n^0.5)^(8)......c)o.65^(-1/2)?

Simplify a) and b). Round your answer to c) properly to four decimal places. Use the ^ symbol to indicate exponents where necessary

when you raise an exponent exponentially, you multiply

    a)(t^6)^(1/2)

    t^(6*1/2)

    t^3

    b)(n^0.5)^(8)

    (n^1/2)^8

    n^(1/2*8)

    n^4

    c)o.65^(-1/2)

    typo?

    as: o^65^(-1/2)

    straight algebra first

    o^(65*(-1/2))

    o^-32/5

now, the negative exponent indicates the need to invert

    1/o^32.5

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    negative exponents

    consider x^3/x^5

    x^3/x^3 cancels, leaving

    1/x^2

when you divide exponents, you subtract

    x^3/x^5=x^(3-5)=x^-2

    so

    x^-2=1/x^2
