Being Alone Sucks

For the longest time,

I thought silence was embraced by an entourage of,

Quiet smiles,

Hands talking,

Coalescing heartbeats.

Now, i realize the doldrums of silence,

I can finally hear the crickets nightly sacred hymn,

And roaming winds blowing in empty spaces.

It's rather chilling, to hear the

Fervent creaking of my house,

As if its sighing and even yearning,

For halfhearted bickering between lost lovers.

Laying in bed, enveloped in somber sheets,

I am scourged and trifled with, by my ceiling,

For the Rorschach blots above,

Entice my sight,

Beguile my vision,

Hoaxing me into believing,

What my mind has acquiesced,

But, what I thought silence reminisced.
