How would you do this problem?

(-4,2) y=1/2x +6

I'm using the y-y1=m(x-x1)+b

    Oh I see here! Point-slope formula.

    well here you are going to need to plug in the numbers for the equation from the point given:

    y - 2 = 1/2 ( x - - 4) +6

    I don't know what you want from this, but I'll try and solve it.

    y - 2 = m ( x + 4 ) +6

    y - 2 = 1/2x + 2 + 6

    y = 1/2x + 6

    I have just converted the point-slope formula into slope-intercept form.

    There's nothing else to solve, just plug in points to graph
