It actually became law once the President signs it.

    You missed a step.

Not all laws go to the Supreme Court, only when they think there is an argument for it being a constitutional issue do they accept the case.

A federal law is passed by both chambers, and sent to the president, who either signs it or vetoes it or sends it back for revisions, or uses a pocket veto, where he doesn't sign it within the allotted time. ten days.

Once he signs it its law. Those who have a constitutional issue with it can bring it to the Supreme Court by challenging it. If the Supreme Court agrees to hear the case they make the decision as to its constitutionality on that particular issue, other issues might be brought if the opposition can find one.

Your American Government text book is correct. Normally we obey the laws in this country but sometimes I guess it is okay to have a temper tantrum, stomp our feet and refuse to obey the law. Anyway that is what some of the Republicans seem to believe.

Well normally that law applies to everyone unless there are provisions in that law that give exemptions to certain groups.

If The Affordable Care law is the law of the land why shouldn't all of it's provisions be applied to everyone?

Who ever heard of a law that the President can pick and chooses what provisions will be applied to groups like big business and unions.

Well, it only becomes law if you're a person who believes in America and that her system works.

It's only the unpatriotic ones who think it's right to hold our country hostage because they don't like it.

The Supremes don't see it unless it is challenged in court.

Republicans cry, stomp their feet, roll on the ground and shut the country down through procedural finagling until they get their way.

laws are changed all the time,

obamacare has been changed 19 times already

five of those just by executive order alone - hmmm...without a vote for the change
