How to avoid text scrunchup after editing?
I often post maths answers, but if I see a small mistake after posting and go back to edit the result, it loses its neat formatting and all the lines run into eachother making it difficult to read.
Can we request that the scrunching policy be changed or that a "no reformatt" option be available ?

With repeated attempts I have failed indicating it is going to be a problem they will have to work on

Just refresh your page. The formatting is still there, it simply doesn't display right for you immediately after an edit.
