I really like him in 'The Woodsman' (2004) where he plays a pedophile who has just been released from prison. It's a very interesting and unique film and must have been a very difficult role to undertake. But he's brilliant in it and the film has a very powerful message. It makes you sympathize with Kevin Bacon's character, even though he is a convicted child abuser.

If you like him as a villain, I would say his best role was in "Sleepers" as the guard at the juvenile facility the boys get sent to. He's not the main character, but it was a good role. He also did a great job in "Murder in the First" with Christian Slater. Even though he's a convicted felon, you come to empathize with his character and feel sorry for what he had to endure.

I loved him In Tremors but his stand out performance must be Hollow Man

Footloose because it's the only film I've seen him in but it is a great film.
