Top right of the screen.
* Look for the gear. Mouse over it.
* Choose Settings.
* Go to Viewing Email.
* At the bottom of the right side look for Mail Version.
* Select Basic
Voila! Back to the old interface.

When I log in to yahoo mail using IE version 8 I get the old, full featured version (with tabs) that everyone had until yesterday morning. I've tried this on a Windows 7 PC and on a Windows XP PC and it works on both. For now I’m going to run IE8 for email and Firefox for everything else. Hope this helps.
