To anyone with an iPhone 5S...?
How is the fingerprint scanner working for you? For me, it works good sometimes, but other times it acts up completely and doesn't read my finger at all. Probably because the button is smudged by my finger scanning before, but I thought apple would have done better than that. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know how to get around it? I like the feature, but not it's poor performance right now.

A fairly common issue, but keep in mind that the 5s was not just a new phone, the biometric scanner is a brand new technology, and all new phones have problems. That being said, an update with a solution will be released pretty soon. If you want a temporary fix all you need to do is delete the print from the phone and make another one.

The first mass run of any new product is going to have issues. I am planning on getting a 5S. Already have the money saved up. But I will probably wait until mid-November to get it. I have been amassing quite a library on my computer to sync over.
Have you made sure there is no film over the button to peel off?

What you have written has been widely reported by many other users. You're going to have to wait until Apple come up with a solution.
It's the price you pay for being an early adopter of any new product.
