2001 Ford Focus Radiator Relay Burnt where it plugs in?

The radiator fan on my ford focus wont turn on so i was checking the relays in the box under the hood and found that underneath one of the square ones (the one closest to the windshield) that the area where it plugs in is burnt and the plastic is melted a bit....

would i be ok just changing the relay or do i have to change that board (or whatever it is) that it plugs into too?

also, is that a common failure on a ford focus (2001 zx3 2.0 zetec) with the radiator fan or are there any other common fail areas...

thanks!!!!

GO TO FORD DEALERSHIPS and ask them in parts department! there MIGHT be a RECALL on this thing! Or call NHTSA and ask them! they keep track of serious car issues that can cuause FIRES or premature ENGINE and TRANS ffiluares! You can try to check the contacts for continuity and put in a FRESH relay. You can remvoe the BOARD and reapir it a bit, OR you can scour a few JUNKYARDS for a perfectly good USED ONE! There are LOTS of choices here! GOOD LUCK! NOTIFY NHTSA anyway about this issue as if there are MORE OF THEM On file they will sponsor a FACTORY RECALL campaigns for you! GOOD LUCK! the FOCUS is the NUMBER ONE WORLD SELLER! BYE NOW!
