A verse that I have never heard them talk about and have never been able to answer is this:
Deuteronomy 18:22
"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."
Their founders failed in so many prophesies as to be nearly comedic.
Yet, they ignore this plain verse and keep following them.
EDIT:
"They have made mistakes, but the mistakes are not on teachings" - Papa G
Really? No mistakes on teachings?
So, you're willing to say that despite the fact that the leadership of the JW's figured out that they had been caught failing in a prophesy on the coming of Christ and then went on to invent a new doctrine (which is found nowhere in scripture) of an "investigative judgment" to explain away how their prophesy was correct, but just didn't happen the way they thought.
Sounds like inventing false teaching to hide failed prophesy...

There must be some sort of leeway for prophesies. No one can be 100% all the time. As one of the doctrine makers within the Jehovah's Witnesses, all we use it a Ouija board and a Farmers Almanac to divine the future. Sure, there is quite a bit of prayer involved but after a couple of six packs things become a little hazy.

Removal of false religion and attempts to persecute Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I have never heard a Witness say Armageddon is "any day now".
Mark 13:32-37 “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father. 33 Keep looking, keep awake, for YOU do not know when the appointed time is. 34 It is like a man traveling abroad that left his house and gave the authority to his slaves, to each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to keep on the watch. 35 Therefore keep on the watch, for YOU do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether late in the day or at midnight or at cockcrowing or early in the morning; 36 in order that when he arrives suddenly, he does not find YOU sleeping. 37 But what I say to YOU I say to all, Keep on the watch.”
We are living in the days of the seventh head. No more heads will appear on this beast before it is annihilated. The Anglo-American World Power will be the dominant world power when false religion is eradicated. The prophecies of Daniel and John have been fulfilled to the smallest detail. We can be confident that the destruction of false religion and the battle of Armageddon will soon come. God has revealed these details in advance. Will we pay attention to the prophetic warnings? (2 Pet. 1:19) Now is the time to take sides with Jehovah and to support his Kingdom.—Rev. 14:6, 7.

The Watchtower has predicted Armageddon several times. ..
1914, 1925 , 1940s, 1975 , before the end of the 20th Century.
When the predictions fail, the leaders blame the followers for being too eager for the end or misunderstanding the Watchtower...the followers ,on the other hand, claim that the predictions were simply 'errors' not false prophecies.
All the while, they all claim that the Watchtower organisation is 'Spirit directed' and that the leaders are God's sole spokesman on earth.
Whether they are errors or false prophecies, it is quite clear that God cannot be directing the Watchtower.
God cannot direct an organisation to teach error or to make false prophecies.

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not claim to be inspired prophets. They have made mistakes, but the mistakes are not on teachings, they are on expectations and not having the full understanding. Like the apostles of Jesus Christ, they have at times had some wrong expectations.

There have been no prophets or prophesies. People have made wrong assumptions - the apostles did the same thing many time - are they doomed too?
