Are you sick of Xmas marketing already?

Boots has just brought out it's Christmas goods brochure, and store web sites are selling Christmas goods. It is getting earlier and earlier, because stores and companies are relying more and more on Christmas sales figures. People in general are cutting back, and only buying the essentials, but at Christmas splash out a bit on things they would normally ignore. It is only the beginning of autumn, and I remember complaining when Christmas stuff was on display at the beginning of November. I have actually heard commercial radio station DJs talking about Christmas on air, and they pretend it is a joke but they are reminding people of the event. It is too early and actually spoils Christmas because by the time December comes people are sick of it.

Christmas stuff should first be on sale on December 1, the first day of advent.

I think it's pretty cool meaning it will be a big Christmas. Here in PA our local Kmart had Christmas decorations since October 1st lol. I hardly see Halloween stuff out but more Christmas stuff.

Nah. It gets me excited about the holiday season and that makes me not dread the snow (which will be here any day now) too much.

Nah, actually I love it! :)
