What is the period of the function y = tan(θ/3) + 1?

Please help me figure out the period for the above function. Thanks

    That is the same as tan (1/3 Θ) + 1.

    The number in front of Θ with tangent is the frequency per π units, and period is the reciprocal of frequency, so

    period is π / (1/3) = π • 3/1 = 3π
