Whats the best way to release a new song to make money?
Hello I'm a truck driver and also a pilot.In my spare time I've wrote some songs over the years.I have no intention of doing singing myself as I'm not in the right age bracket now to get to any "serious level".So my intensions are to write for other people,and compared to the modern day (past 10 years or so) crap I'd say my songs are pretty good.
Whats the best way of releasing them to market,copywritting,and keeping royalties from the artists who sing my songs?

@deepest tempest sort of.Now and again when I have the radio on the modern songs are so crap and plastic and I know my songs are much better(25 years back when there was proper talent I'd of said my songs were too amateur).I just need to know the process of getting my songs on the radio ect.

Sounds like you want to join the pop music industry.
Reply: Well that is the thing about joining the pop music industry - they will OWN you. You will no longer have any creative control over your music. Sure you'll get that big wad of cash, but they will dictate how you sing or play music. You must be able to fit their demographics or you will not be worth anything to them.
The best way of marketing music and keep royalties is to join a non-RIAA label. Preferably, a label that isn't owned by the RIAA and doesn't have their music distributed through them. Such labels will treat you better and have alternative methods to get artists known.

A greedy corporate trust of the music industry. The "Big 3" (Universal, Sony, & Warner) are the most prominent members.

There are plenty of modern musicians that compare well against the classics, you've just been looking in the wrong places. Not to discourage you, but no matter how good your music is, you will still have lots of competition. Being creative and having a unique sound is what will help separate you from the rest.
