Anyone still remember Dinara Safina?
Well she's "officially" retiring in 2014. Expected but still can't help but feel sad. She definitely isn't the best but the hardwork she'd put was beyond amazing. Good luck on life outside tennis, future attorney! :)

I really liked the fire and fight that Dinara brought to every match! She was definitely more than Marat's little sister . . . and my goodness, she got all the way to World #1 . . .
She may not get into the International Hall of Fame with her playing credentials but she is definitely one of the best players to never with a grand slam . . . that in itself is still something to be proud of.
Dinara made a good living for herself, she travelled the world and is an inspiration to the women of her country . . . I hope she has a really successful and rewarding career beyond playing tennis.

She's been gone for a while now. She had the potential to win a grand slam, but was a mental headcase. Perhaps she'll be more successful as an attorney.

yes who can forget
she was ranked number 1 at one point
i remeber at wimbledon at 2008 she lost 6-0, 6-1 to venus at wimbledon semfinals.. which is pretty terrible given the ranking...
but she was a hard worker an had character......

No, not really. She hasn't really done much. I thought she retired awhile ago, haven't seen much of her....at all.
