How many online college classes should one take?
I have been in college for three semesters. I am, however, completely new to online courses. I want to take a few classes but I don't want to be overwhelmed. Is 12 credit hours too much, just enough, or overboard? Like I said, I am new to online courses and everything that comes with it. Any comments will be helpful.

It's hard to give advice because we don't know enough. If you're self-motivated and organized, you should be successful at online classes. If you tend to be disorganized or a procrastinator you can get in real trouble. You must also be a very good reader; not only because all of your instruction is written, but because your class information and communication from the instructor is written. If you miss the details you will miss assignments or do them incorrectly.
12 hours is good if that's all the classes you're taking and don't have a full time job. Choose them as you would any other semester--make sure you have an easy one for any really hard one.
