Your View Of Thin Lizzy?

Thin Lizzy.... Excellent Celtic Rock/Hard Rock from Dublin, Ireland.

I've known about thin lizzy for sometime, as i had gotten their 1971 self titled on LP for my 10th birthday.

Now? I own 3 Thin Lizzy Albums:Fighting, Jailbreak, and Thunder & Lightning.

I have seen them live, Though i wish they would have made more music...

Some Of Thin Lizzy's songs are:Things Arn't Working Down At The Farm, Sarah, Call The Police, Jailbreak, Sha La La, Suicide, And The Boys Are Back In Town.

Your view?

1 BQ.

BQ:Is It true that the president is making this...Shutdown as bad as posible?

They're me favourite band and I have every album & most of their Bootlegs and to this day it boggles my mind on how the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame haven't even thought about inducting Philo & The Boys into it. And make sure to check out Vagabonds Of The Western World, Johnny The Fox, Bad Reputation, Black Rose: A Rock Legend and Live & Dangerous a listen, ah what am I saying check out every album they made, they're all great. Here's a sample of each album you should check out.

BQ: Wasn't there a Shutdown when Clinton was in office? It will blow over eventually. Now I won't lie I'm not a fan of Oul Barrie but the Republicans aren't exactly making it easy for him but since I'm not American(I'm Irish) it doesn't bother me either way but if I'm honest I think both the Republicans & Democrats are really fụcking the American Working class over more than anything and you guys could do with a few new parties to give them a run for their money.

I like Thin Lizzy a lot.

During researching your question, I found that they did some earlier work with only one guitarist and in the early 70's did an album of Deep Purple covers under the name of "Funky Junction" There are a couple of songs on youtube

Phil Lynott did not sing on the record. they hired the singer and a keyboard player from a band called Elmer Fudd to do the keyboards and lead vocals. I did not know that! I'm a huge Purple fan.

BQ. Poor Obama has nothing to do with the shutdown. This is all on the Republicans' heads. Namely the Speaker of the House and some freshman Congressman from Texas named Ted Cruz who are at fault for this B.S. Even the G.O. P. is starting to turn on that idiot.

I've never been a big fan of Thin Lizzy.

BQ: It's a John Boehner thing not an Obama thing. The general Republican strategy during Obama's presidency has been to undercut anything positive that he might be able to accomplish, and then blame him for how bad things are.

the Republicans control the house. It's mostly on them. There are a LOT of Republicans that are sick of Cruz. He is using this to make a name for himself. The whole bunch of right wing nuts, are using this to destroy the economy. We are trying ti put people to work, but this shut down has put hundreds of thousand of people out of work. Not all of the unemployed will have a job to come back to. We are losing trillion$ of dollares a day. theyare gone, cab;t get that back, but Obama isn't doing much better. I put it at 60% Republicans, 40% em, and i'm not a Dem or liberal. I think the Extreme right, is going to cost the Repiblicans a ot of votes, and several congressmen. Neither Party can get a good candidate nominated.

    Hi F.D!

In the 70's saw 'em, lots of times.

They were a really good live band, explosive and top musicianship.

In my opinion the album Bad Reputation, is one of their best.

Live & Dangerous, one of the best live albums ever!

Phil Lynott, forever missed but, his music lives on!

B.Q. Cannot comment as I am in the U.K. I wish you all well though!!

I thought they were a great band - maybe not so keen on the John Sykes era though.

They were melodic and had SONGS. Southbound is one of my favourites.
