Yes. Philosophically speaking, it is same. Moon is same. There is no change in the moon. I am not a fake philosophical genius like others. At the same time, I don't overestimate my brain. I am a mediocre, novice and dull-witted like many others. I am inquisitive to learn more.
Moon gradually reduces its shape and size daily and on new moon day, it is not visible. We can its full shape only on Full Moons Day.

Yes, I see the moon once in a blue moon...... by the way, seeing the blue moon isn't easy and hence I am quite happy with that.

I would say there is more than one way to see the moon, or anything else for that matter. It's all about perception.
