Reconditioning old Cars?

I intend to re-condition my eight year old Chevrolet Exclusive LS Car 180000 Km. Any one please guide how to proceed with most crucial/relevant/key parts and systems replacements.

Update:

Knocking sounds heard from front like coming from wheels and hard to shift gear like some obstruction under gear lever. Any one send me pic of mechanism of suspension, steering and gear lever shift mechanism shoing parts in detail.

Well, first have it inspected, and find out what needs replacing. I'm betting that once you add up everything it'll be cheaper to replace the car, unless you really LOVE the car and it has some other value to you, just replace it.

Engine, trans, tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joint, struts, have the electrical system inspected, and that assuming no rust damage, then replace most of the interior, have the bright work done, then body work and paint. Nothing to it.
