Why won't my Blaziken Mega Evolve in Pokemon Y?

Blaziken is holding Blazikenite, it was the event Torchic!

    having same issue and cant find any answers anywhere. from what i learnt so far, u need max happiness on the pokemon holding the mega stone, then in battle ur pokemon evolves into mega.

    what i cant find out is about the bracelet.

    edit: worked it out finally i hope. just got to shalour city. you get the bracelet from tower of mastery. from what i was reading i thought u already had the item but you dont.

    You probably haven't received the bracelet required to activate the mega stones.
