Do Mega Stones disappear once you use them in Pokemon Y?
I don't know if once you Mega Evolve they disappear or if you can keep the Mega Stone forever.

Mega stones are a held item which they keep. In order to transform the right pokemon needs to hold the item and in a battle you press the mega evolution button on the attack select screen. Mega evolved pokemon change back when you switch pokemon or finish the battle
