Why can't eating salt offset whatever sugar does to a diabetic?

Sugar kills diabetics. Salt is the opposite of sugar. Why can't eating salt before pigging out on sugar balance a diabetic?

Update:

Interesting, I just see how food instantly gives new numbers on finger priks. I just wondered why not eat salt or drink lots of water to affect the numbers in the blood. I didn't say it in real life I just thought it, I'll keep it to myself now thanks.

Your food doesn't have to be bland, there are very good sugar and salt substitutes on the market (try the health food shop - if you don't see what you want ASK - that's what the assistance are there for) And using herbs, lemon juice, spices helps too. My gran had insulin dependent diabetes and she ate aything she liked but in moderation - if she wanted chocolate, she'd have a square, or a biscuit - perhaps not on the same day butshe didn't stint!

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/qpOVM

    Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:

    Increased thirst

    Increased urination

Weight loss in spite of increased appetite

    Fatigue

    Nausea

    Vomiting

Patients with type 1 diabetes usually develop symptoms over a short period of time, and the condition is often diagnosed in an emergency setting.

    Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:

    Increased thirst

    Increased urination

    Increased appetite

    Fatigue

    Blurred vision

    Slow-healing infections

    Impotence in men

If you think you have diabetes i think you should have a checkup and speak with your doctor just in case.

Salt is NOT the opposite of sugar. It's something independent and different from sugar, just as water is or celery is, etc. And sugar alone does not kill diabetics, it's too many if ALL carbohydrates that raise blood glucose that can kill someone. You are looking at this far far far too simplistically.

salt has nothing to do at all with diabetes. it enhances the flavors of foods and has iodine to prevent thyroid problems. it does not have anything to do with cardiac problems except in about 1% of the worlds population.

Sugar does NOT kill diabetics!! Carbohydrates do and are found in all plant derived foods of which sugar is just one!

Insulin is what counters carbohydrates!! So just take a massive dose of instant insulin before "pigging" out on sugars!

Diabetes cause elevated blood cholesterol. High cholesterol may cause atherosclerosis and hypertension. Too much salt in the diet may cause retention of too much water in the body and may lead to hypertension.
