Americans trying to use Celsius?

What was the hardest part of trying to convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius? For me, it was misspelling the word "Celsius".

    Habit.

If you are familiar with a set of units, you have a feel for it.

For instance, if you see the weather man say there will be a high of 55 (F) today, you have an idea what it actually feels. In you use a different unit (13 Celsius here), you need to do some calculation, or look in a table. For you, the number 13 is associated to a much colder temperature.

This is true for any kind of unit change (metric vs. imperial, different currency in a different country...)
