A question from an American soccer fan to Mexican fans?
In spite of losing to Costa Rica Mexico still has a chance of qualifying for the World Cup because of a U.S victory over Panama. Now that you owe U.S. soccer a debt of gratitude will you stop throwing bags of urine on us when we visit Estadio Azteca?
I see. So the "real Mexican football section" is where? The Spanish language version of Yahoo?
Thanks to all who answered.
You are right my question sounded too much like a sweeping generalization. My apologies. Still I do think that *in general* U.S. fans and even the players exhibit greater sportsmanship than their Mexican counterparts. It will be interesting to see what happens the next time the U.S. goes to play in Mexico.
As to throwing the game to harm Mexico; it would be very much out of character for the U.S. Our soccer team has a strong never say die ethos. To the last ball, the last man and the last minute we fight no matter what. Apparently some Panamanian players even asked the U.S. side to take it easy but for us that would really be dishonorable.
If Mexico can get passed New Zealand it will have almost a year to prepare for the World Cup. With all the talent Mexico has at their disposal they should be able to succeed and have a good World Cup. I wish them the best of luck.

Dont think its fair to blame a whole nation just on what some few fans do! But much respect to the US for not throwing the game which they could have done! I would like to believe that Mexico would have done the same if the circumstances were swapped!
