Uni Loc refers to the type of joint where the shaft and butt of a pool cue screw together. There are a number of different screw styles as you can see at the link. Uni Loc has a long pin and only a few threads that screw in which makes it faster to put together and take apart your cue. Since there is metal on both the butt and shaft ends, it also has a different feel than wood-to-wood joints (such as the radial pin or 3/8x10).
