Can u explain polar and non polar bonds, hydrophobic or hydrophilic, and is a polar bond the same as covalent?

oh yea please explain in 8th-9th grade english style so that i will understand

    Polar and nonpolar are types of covalent bonds. Covalent bonds are those bonds where electrons are shared, but sometimes those electrons are not shared equally. Sometimes the electron that is being shared will be pulled towards one atom more than the other. That depends on the element's electronegativity. Hydrophobic and hydrophilic are terms relating to a molecule's ability to dissolve in water. Hydrophobic means "water-hating". Those will not dissolve in water and include nonpolar molecules. Hydrophilic means "water-loving" and so those will dissolve in water. Hydrophilic molecules are polar (water is polar)
