how to calculate mean value if there are outliers?
I know you add the numbers up and then divide them by how many there are, such as 1,6,7,3,8
mean = 25/5
mean = 5
but what if there was an outlier? Do you include it in the addition and division?
such as 1, 4, 6, 7, 88
how do you find the mean in this? The 88 is an outlier

same procedure...
mean would never be an outlier... it will always lies between the minimum value and the maximum value...
for this.
(1 4 6 7 88) /5 = 106/5 = 21.2
here 21.2 lies between the min and max. value.
