How do I know if my 2005 Silverado 1500 came with "air=injection"?
Want to purchase some shorty headers and the manufactuer wants to know if my truck has air-injection? It has the 5.3 v8.

Are you sure you are looking for the correct vintage 5.3 engine? I don't think any of the LS engines had air injection. That was something that was very common in the 80's. There was not a 5.3 in the 80's but the 80's engines took the same headers as the 50's-70's ones when there was 5.3 (327) engines so maybe that is why you see the option for air injection. That system was often called a smog pump.
