How do I get my windows 7 to stop trying to update with a windows 8 update?
My computer keeps trying to update practically every time I restart and just recently I found out it's trying to give me a security update for windows 8, but I've only got 7. It fails every time and tries again and again. Is it possible to stop this from happening?

Go to Settings > Contol Panel> Windows Update and Right Click the Update and Click Hide and it won't update anymore.

its very possible all you have to do is to quit relying on Microsoft since they don't even know their own products
