With its bright sandy beaches, traveling hills and picturesque harbour, it's no wonder that Rio de Janeiro is called the "cidade maravilhosa", or marvellous city and with hotelbye you can get the opportunity and visit this amazing city. Rio de Janeiro is facing the South Atlantic coast and may be the second-largest town in Brazil. This city is lucky with one of the very wonderful normal adjustments for a city in the world. The dazzling landscape is one of the reasons that guests chose Rio de Janeiro. Throughout carnival season, a festival that everyone noticed, the roads load with music and ornately costumed dancers attracting tourists from all around the globe.

Do NOT wear gold or silver jewelry or any valuable items -
Mobile phones are also items that are stolen, cameras as well -
ID papers and passports also get stolen - carry copies only -
Avoid looking like a tourist - take only a little cash with you -

I speak fairly good Portuguese, but made a mistake to go up there alone -
My "Nike" shoes were stolen off my feet by half a dozen teenage thieves -
They had a knife on my throat -
Had to go back to my hotel (down Copacabana) on... my socks...!
One crewmember got attacked on the beach - daytime also -
He was wearing a fake "gold Rolex watch" (worth $12 in Hong Kong) -
