Can my daughter have a british passport ?

My daughter was born in England in 2001 her farther is English. I her mother am Portuguese. We are not married.

    You are her mother and your name is Barry? Interesting.

    If your daughter was born in England, she can have a British passport. But she will need her birth certificate to prove where she was born, and that her father was English.

    Unmarried fathers could not pass down their citizenship until 2006, it was not made retrospective

    Yes she can if her Father is a UK Citizen and she was Born there.

    If she was born in the UK, and her father is a UK citizen. Yes she can.

    I think if she was born in England then she can but it might be that she has to have lived in England for five years
