Do You Like/Love/Hate this name?
Ellie Isobel.
Does it flow nicely? Our last name starts with S and is one syllable (not Smith).

Ellie and Isobel are lovely names, pretty names, and I really like both of the names.
But... I don't think they go that well together.
The ee at the end of Ellie and then the ees at the start of Isobel stops the flow and stops the names complimenting each other.
Lovely names, but separately.
Edit:
Ellie isn't a nickname, it is a name. In todays society with the increased use of nicknames, Ellie is now seen as a nickname. But I fell in love with the name Elli (without the 'e') 20 years ago during high school when a school book I had to read about a concentration camp survivor was named Elli.

I like it. I don't love it or hate it. Ellie to me just seems more of a nickname than by itself. I love Isobel though

Ellie is a short for of Elizabeth and Isobel is the Spanish form of the name. I think using them together is redundant. But, your kid. If that's what you like, go for it!
