The future will be just like the past, just with different people. History repeats itself. For those that have paid attention to past events, you can either help or hinder the future depending on the result you want. Example.

Here in the U.S. around 1941, troubles where brewing overseas. WWII was going on all over Europe and Asia. The U.S. people did not want to go to war at the time. They knew the U.S. still might be attacked because of some of the help we gave so they developed an early warning system and placed it in Hawaii. On December 7th, the radar system warned of enemy planes heading toward Hawaii. The person sent a message to the command but nothing was done. As many of you know, this is the day the Pearl Harbor was attacked. After the attack, the people changed their mind about war now that it hit our shores. So of course we joined the fight.

Again in the U.S. around 2001, trouble had been going on again overseas. This time in the Arab areas. Muslim extremest had been bombing and attacking many places in the area. At the time they were not doing much to the U.S. so our presence there was minimal. Because of an earlier attempt on the Twin Towers back in 1993, they had stepped up national security and tracked many Muslim extremists here in the U.S. When a group of these people where taking flying lessons and showed no interest in how to land a plane, reports where sent. Yet again, nothing was done. No heightened security, no extra air marshals aboard flights around New York and Washington, no military air patrols. Well, you know how it ended up. After the planes hit the towers, we went to war. Sound familiar? Do you think it is coincidence that in both cases, nothing was done after warnings where sent out?

I am not saying we should expect another attack but we should look for signs of past events to gain a good guess on what will happen in the future. If the outcome was something good, then either allow or help it happen, but if it should be another bad thing, then jump to attention and make sure others do too. You might be able to stop the future.

As some people have stated, your view on it getting better or worse depends on where and when you are talking about. Eventually, the end will come. It could take as long as 500 thousand year when the sun turn to a red giant but odds are man will someday start the real war to end all wars. This will be the war that ends all mankind's existence. Seeing that it will be another way history repeats itself, the war will probably start over religious views.

The world is not so black and white, some areas will improve, some will get better, some will stay the same. However you also have to take into account the matter of prospective, history is written by the victor, which means what ever they disagreed with is written off as wrong and horrible no matter how it actually was at the time. Those who scream the loudest are the ones everyone hears. Whether the world improves or degrades is a matter of experience for the individual, not for the mass to dictate.

I will do my best to have a good day tomorrow and make someone happy. That's they way I view the future. I don't get wrapped up in paranoid delusions of some distant future like some religious people love to do... you know, the ones that are constantly worried about how things are going so badly and that means it's only going to get worse. How negative is that! People get what they expect, so naturally those negative people feel that everything around them is negative.

I don't. I can only view the present moment.

As far as what I expect to happen: I expect the evil and suffering in this world will get far, far worse. But then King Jesus will come as the conquering King of kings and Lord of lords to destroy evil and sin once and for all in the consummation of history. For the redeemed, it will be a most joyful and glorious time. For the enemies of God, it will be a most horrible time, where they will live in eternal regret and remorse for rejecting God and His kindness, grace and mercy in Jesus Christ.

it will get better. people are idiots.

if you look at the statistics you will see crime levels have gone down hugely people don't get this but if you look at the number of crime rates over the years you will see it has gone down.

corruption is dying too mind you it is still a problem but it also used to be must worst.

wars are dying also look at the EU it was set up because European countries were also going to war and since the EU all the countries resolved their problems through talk.

and the course of many of these horrible things is also dying and that is religion

    Unexpectedly worse, or maybe better

Could simply remain somewhat the same though.

    Undecided.

It will get better! The Bible assures us that death will be done away with, pain, all the things that cause pain and outcry. Revelation 21:4
