Colleges that accept a 2.7/2.8 GPA?
Hello, I have a question. Are there any colleges that accept a 2.8 GPA? Please don't judge me for my GPA please. I've had emotional problems during high school ( I was bullied a lot and would not come to school because of it) and I've faced many family deaths within the last 2-3 years so I was pretty upset. I've been told that I don't have any confidence in myself and that's why my GPA is low.
I know that I'm an intelligent person, I'm trying to improve so hard. At this moment I have 2 B+'s in my design classes and A+'s in every other class, so I'm actually trying hard and succeeding at it. I'm not meant to go to a community college.
Here's the thing though. My GPA might actually be around a 3.0+ but my school counselor told me that the school does not do weighed/under weighed GPAs and that at another school my GPA would most likely be higher. In the school that I went to before, I had honors classes and then I transferred to a school that only has college prep and doesn't have AP courses. So what can I do? I really want to take an AP class or college course. So basically the honors courses that I took at the other school didn't count for the school that I currently go to now.
My SAT score wasn't too good either. My score was an 1140. I do feel that the SATs don't prove your intelligence and readiness for school and that the second time that I do the test I would score way better than the first time that I took it in June.
I'm a senior and 18 years old. I'm honestly sorry that this question is so long. :(

CC for 30-45 credit hours with excellent grades. At that point your SAT scores will be disregarded and you can transfer into a 4 year school based on the merits of your college work.

Is that SAT score on the 1600 or 2400 point scale? If it's 1140/2400, you are probably going to have to get it up to have any shot at a university.
Try your state university. If you get your SAT up (if that's the problem), you likely have the numbers to get in.

I was accepted into several colleges. Lol I thought that my GPA was bad but I was able to get it up to a 3.1.
