How does a human being push beyond their limits?

I want to know the secret to being able to go beyond your physical limits. A few weeks ago we we're doing 2 hours of fitness and the last exercise was an extremely tiring one. Everyone was practically dead including me and yet this one guy who pushed himself in every exercise, who exhausted all his energy into every exercise still managed to push himself in that last tiring workout. How? When I was doing it my legs felt like exploding, I felt like throwing up, I felt sick, tired, I felt like giving up all of a sudden and I started slowing down but he just continued and Im pretty sure he was feeling the same pain I was but he still continued. It's really inspired me. So my question is, how does one push themselves beyond their capable limits? I mean its one thing to say: "I'm going to push myself beyond my limits." but it's whole different thing actually doing it. Can anyone tell me?

It's a mental game and the more you practice the better you get. What I do is I pick a person I am relatively close to in endurance or tolerance and I try to stay with them. Then once you get that you move on up to the next person. I remind myself that once it's over I can rest and if I don't give it my all now, I'll regret it later.

There really isn't an exact way to do it, because people are different, but you have to want it. Remind yourself how much it means to you. When you feel like giving up, make yourself go an extra few seconds and after you reach that time you'll start to feel like, well, I've come to far too give up now. I use songs to inspire me to work harder. Anyway. Good luck!(:

And lastly, don't forget you pass out before you die. Lol. :p

You don't push yourself beyond limits. It is called having a higher level of tolerance for exercise and years / months of hard work. You do workouts and your body adapts. You then can do better than you ever have before. I used to race a 5k all-out at 7:00 pace, 7 years later of training and I run 80 miles a week jogging at that pace. At one time that would have been impossible. It is a testament to dedication and hard work. You have to keep putting in the work. You are a lucky person, you can work very hard, but the threat is to work too hard and burn out. Put in the work, but enjoy it as well. You gotta love what you do. Genetics also have a lot to do with it. Sometimes you will not be the best.

On the flip side those instruction exist for a reason. A person who is badly out of shape can't go for a two mile run and then lift heavy weights for two more hours. They would tear muscles. I've lived on a farm. I no without a doubt that if deer become to tired to stand they will fall down no matter how much danger there is. On a farm sometimes a bull will break out of a pen and some of them are dangerous to go near. The best way to get a bull to cooperate is to chase it with a tractor for a half hour. If you run a bull until they cooperate they will go back to their pens easily. If you run a bull for several minutes after they cooperate, they will simply lay down and let you run over them with the tractor. Force of will only goes so far.

Its somehow amazing that one guy in a group always go beyond limits. Theres actually a secret to it.

And there no just 1 thing which makes him go beyong that limit.

Fitness comprises a lotta thing, firstly, the diet which is the most important thing and for which one can have more energy and better endurance, which a lotta ppl dont consider.

secondly the genetics, you cant beat a guy whose genetically strong.

third, your motivation. i believe these three things are the most important thing for any sports person.

    Cheers
