Are Rastafaris homophobic? What did Bob Marley think about homosexuality?
I was wondering: What is the Rastafarian view on homosexuality, and what did Bob Marley think about it? Because I heard they're against it but aren't they all about making the world a better place and respecting others?

Well in jamaica yea they kinda hate rasta's because they make a whole heap of trouble. uno the thing is marley influenced a lot of people in the Caribbean music but that doesn't essentially means he just catered for them he knew that other people in the world were listening to him so if he ever expressed his views on homosexuality then maybe he wouldn't of been so big as he became. remember western people where listening to him he knew this ...people from other cultures muslims christians jehovah witnesses every kind of sort. bob marley was the type of person to express things that were part of the bigger picture the government the starving children in the slums corruption etc so I think personally this was something small to him he was defo against segregation for sure ..

its very likely true as it was for most of the world for so long. and it has only really changed in the last 20 years. beforwe bob marleys death. he was a peaceful guy thou and even if he had a problem with it i'd like to think he would not have judged you for it many jamaicans will still tell you that there are no gay jamaicans. but most are changing at pace with the world. theirs is a tourist based economy. they dont make a lot of money offending people.

how about the song
No woman No cry
seems to me like he had his moments of understanding
this whole sexual revolution takes time to filter down and as you have seen the RUSSIAN people are a generation behind as they are on so many issues.
I have worked with Jamaican dudes who knew I was gay and they told me that the idea of having no gays in Jamaica and that its a bad place to be out, is changing. he goes back and forth and I believe has an insight to it. lots of Jamaicans don't eve go back and their idea is of the country they left.
