does my ex want to be friends??
was with my ex for 2 years. broke up 4 monthes ago had no contact until 2 weeks ago when i found something of his in our house and saw if he wanted it. since he's given me his phone number again. we've texted for 5 hrs on two days and random questions in between.. the last convo was a little quetsionable if it was just friendly or more.
i asked about a rental place what the name was adn said sorry to bug him at work.
him: your're not bugging me, it's no problem at all. told me what the place was and said he thinks they rent air compressors, but don't be whack me over the head if im mistaken lol.
me: thanks mucho much haha i'm not a whacker i poke people until they say knock it off lol less violent
him: lol true, I see to recall u tickle a lot as well.
then sent me a pilsbury dough boy picture that was scary/ halloweenish that said did u poke me? and he said just cuz i came across this literally right after you mentioned poking. lol
me; i only tickled you bc u said not to lol aww that pic is cute very fitting and halloweeny
him: reverse psychology huh? lol
so platonic friendly or something else?

Hard to say at this point, but I will tell you what you should do now. He may just be responding to you the way he used to; playful, flirty, friendly, it could just be habit. Or he could be remembering the good times, or he might be a little lonely right now. Here's how you find out; back off completely. Now is the time to ask yourself the same questions about motives. Are you just remembering the good times? Are you a little "re-boundy"? Are you falling into your playful ways with him out of habit? If he wanted to get back together...honestly, would you want to give it another try? Those are things you can ponder, and you need to take them very seriously. You have made contact. The next move is up to him. And don't just stop your life and wait for his next move. Keep being busy and interested and meeting new people. Then see what both he and you think about trying it again. Either one of you might say "nope" or "sure" Good luck.

I don't really know how your relationship was but I could never be friends with my ex I find it way to painful to hear about her day with her current boyfriends. but that's a totally different situation possibly.
