If i lose weight will my stretch marks fade white?

I'm over weight & I have red stretch marks on my biceps and forearms... They ruin my social life & my fashion... They are bright red & are shinny... If I lose some weight will they fade to a white? I know they don't go away fully but would like them to go white so there not as noticeable... Please don't tell me to use creams cause tried all of those, no luck! Thanks yawl!

Losing weight will help new ones from forming, but it probably won't do much to help the old ones from fading. Don't worry though, they do fade over time. You can buy a scar fading gel to make them fade faster. I used mederma on some stretch marks I have on my knees from growing so fast. They used to be purple, but now they have turned to white so they are much less noticeable. I think getting a sun tan on the area can also help stretch marks or any kind of scar to fade.

They fade as they heal over time, they don't fade in response to weight loss. If you haven't used Mederma, try it, but don't expect results right away, it does take time. I have some on my arm that took years to fade, I did not take care of my skin.
