Does people in the UK think American accents are sexy?

North eastern US accents, probably yes by many Brits.

However southern US accents sound as though the person is stupid. Californian accents sound gay (even when the Californian isn't gay, + of course, this could be a + factor for gay Brits), New York city & New Jersey accents sound brash, impatient and generally give the impression of an unpleasant person.

As for you, or any other Americans, finding "British accents to be rather sexy", I have to ask, which British accents?

I appreciate you might find upper class southern British accents, or West of England rural, or East Anglian rural, or many Scottish accents (except Glaswegian?), sexy in their very different ways, but do you find the Birmingham ('Brummy'), Liverpool ('Scouse'), or Newcastle ('Geordie') accents sexy? Or can you understand these accents at all?

I d like to call the different accents of a particular language a modular app rather than sexy.

Generally Americans seem to like foreign accents as long as they are toned down and made more American (Hugh Grant in those cheesy movies, or Russell Crowe). When they encounter real accents they tend to complain that they can't understand. They're not the only ones - English people complain about not understanding Scots and Irish accents all the time.

Brit here, and I don't really have any opinion on American accents. They're just very neutral and uninteresting. Someone speaking English with a French, Spanish or Eastern European accent is much more appealing to me.

I don't mind American accents. What I do hate is the style in which so many Americans speak. They like totally pad out everything they say with like you know words that seriously like don't add anything to what they're like trying to say and I swear like it totally sounds like they're seriously in love with the sound of their own freakin' voice and like have to stretch everything out as long as possible because it totally lets them keep on talking like forever.
