how to get rid of yahoo as the page my internet opens up to?

Go into your tools and go to pop up blockers and turn it on. If you don't want google or yahoo in your browser uninstall it from your hardware.

I'm having problems...the same kind with all the browsers out there...Firefox used to be so good but now everytime I click on something it opens a new window and it now refuses to let any page open up a new page even when it is by my request. I'm tired of it all and often don't even check my email. I did open a second email account to receive important email and the rest is pretty much junk or people that send me way too much email and jokes. I can change my start up page to yahoo...which is what I like and it changes it back to iminent or something like that. I've scaned and scaned and I supposedly have no virus or bad things. I'm about done with all of it and that's a shame.

To change your home page

1.Open Internet Explorer.

2.Go to the webpage you want to set as your home page.

3.Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.

4.Under the General tab, do one of the following:

•To set the page you're on as your home page, click Use current.

•To set a blank home page, click Use blank.

•To reset the home page to its default, click Use default.

All you had to do was type "set home page in Explorer (or whichever browser you use) in a google search. You'd be surprised how easy and quickly you can find things if you just make an effort.

5.Click OK.

You don't need to uninstall anything. All you're dong is changing the page that appears when you open your browser.
