do you agree with road calming measures? for Uk motorists?

where we once had open roads with little distractions, we now have silly road islands and bollards to look out for, and more on coming traffic, where you now have to stop and give way

I have been driving for over 46 years, and I find this more of a distraction with more cause for accidents than before

some speed ramps are ok , but a lot of them are so badly placed, they do more damage to your car

what do you hate about the changes?

I am currently taking lessons. I am sorry to say more than 50% of the people on the road are complete morons. They are aggressive, rude, have no understanding of road etiquette and don't even know the basics of the highway code. I really don't understand how most road users got their license.

I believe there needs to be even more changes.

As a non motorist I fully agree with road calming measure. A large number of drivers habitually drive over the speed limit and drive carelessly, illegally using their phones while driving for example. It is therefore necessary to take steps to ensure they drive more slowly so as to reduce death and injury on the roads

I think they are overrated. Drivers often speed between them and just slow down over the top of them. The small square "Speed Cushions" allow ambulances to drive quickly over them but cars can do it too.
