What do you think of Beeching, after the demise of the British railways.?
I have just been watching our yesterday's program about railways, it's so sad that so many lines have dissapeared through out our lovely countryside
With all the money that our governments waste every year, it's a shame that some wasn't put back to restoring old tracks, and not for bus ways or of tram lines
6 AnswersRail7 years agoDo you think the BBC tv license is outdated.?
The BBC is not what it used to be,standards have dropped , they are no better than the other Chanel's
I feel the license should be waived
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoWhat do you think of British justice..?
I feel we have become a weak nation, scared to dish out proper punishment, deserving of the crime committed
In a lot of cases, the victim has less rights than the convict
And right across the country, the sentence's given , make a mockery of the system
What have you experienced.
1 AnswerGovernment7 years agoDo they still have drive in movies in the USA?
4 AnswersMovies7 years agoare you happy with the new yahoo answers set up?

6 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoare you fed up with all the regular xmas festivites?, would you do it different?
apart from the family get togethers, I find it so boring, the queens speech, the repeats on tv,
what would you do different?
6 AnswersEtiquette7 years agohow do these loan companies get away with it?
with all the desperate people out there who need help, Uk TV is being bombarded with adds for loans, with interest rates as high as 49%, and they use animated elderly people, what to me would give the impresssion they can be trusted.
I just wonder how many have been trapped by these companies, and what support if any they would get from the government
3 AnswersPersonal Finance8 years agowhat countries would you like to visit?
and have you been to countries that you would never want to go back?
I have been to the far east, and the states, and still have more of Europe to do
One place I would not go back to is Marrakesk,I found it such a pain changing money, and being swamped by flies, and people pulling your bags off you just to demand a tip after, even getting your baggage checked in took twice as long, and that was with half a plane load
3 AnswersOther - Destinations8 years agowhat drives you mad on TV?
Every hour throughout the day, we have these organisations begging us for £3 a month to sponsor a child or animal, or some old time actor trying to sell us insurance to bury us, As much as I give to charity, there is a limit to the intrusion in our lives
what are your thoughts on this?
9 AnswersOther - Politics & Government8 years agodoes anyone have any info on Silverline tools uk?
I recently bought a battery operated drill, and it has now developed a fault in the trigger,
I have tried to contact this company, but can not get through,, they have an address in Somerset, Yeovel, but no one answers the phone
has this firm gone bust?
does anyone have another contact no?
thanks in advance
3 AnswersOther - United Kingdom8 years agodo you agree with road calming measures? for Uk motorists?
where we once had open roads with little distractions, we now have silly road islands and bollards to look out for, and more on coming traffic, where you now have to stop and give way
I have been driving for over 46 years, and I find this more of a distraction with more cause for accidents than before
some speed ramps are ok , but a lot of them are so badly placed, they do more damage to your car
what do you hate about the changes?
3 AnswersOther - United Kingdom8 years agowhat do you think of all the on line and tv adds for gambling?
I rarely gamble, maybe the odd lottery ticket, but there are thousands of people that are totally addicted, and have practically lost everything,
All we see every day is constant bribes giving you a free £10,or even higher to get you going, I get them on my phone, on line, emails, and of course on tv
I often wonder if any of these sites are regulated by the government, this is in the UK by the way, does America have the same problem?
and a lot of TV shows like Xfactor are sponsored by them, so its oblivously a big business
1 AnswerGambling8 years agocan anyone in the USA reccommend an electrical store better than radio shack?
last time I used them, they weren't that good, poor quality
1 AnswerOther - US Local Businesses8 years agoAre there many working class people in the Uk that actually support the labour party?
For many years they have imposed high taxes on us, and every year they make all these empty promises
9 AnswersOther - Politics & Government8 years agowhat do you think of this?
they were talking on the radio a couple of days ago about UK footballers, being born and bred in the UK but nothing was said about the fact we have a lot of foriegn managers, surely that should be just as important?
2 AnswersEnglish Football8 years agowhat are you doing tonight?
I am watching repeats on TV,how boring can that be?
10 AnswersDrama8 years agoHave you started buying for Xmas?,?
It seems the shelves fill up even earlier each year, and it means more waste packaging to be disposed of
9 AnswersChristmas8 years agoDo you agree with the UK plastic bag tax?
I think it's totally wrong, why not enforce re usable bags instead?, or as America has done for many years brown paper bags
I think this is the first step to taxing us with a lot more schemes
We are already being ripped off
7 AnswersUnited Kingdom8 years agoWould you agree that the British government needs a complete. reorganizing ?
Don't you get fed up with the same old story?, I am sure they all read out of the same text book
About what the last government left us with.
Wouldn't it be nice, if for once they agreed they have made big mistakes In the past, and need to put it right
