Can you claim to be a Director if you are self-employed with no employees?

    You can claim to be president, CEO, or Company God. It doesn't matter.

    Frankly, just leave out the title altogether. Makes you look more mysterious.

    I suppose, but wouldn;t "owner" or "proprietor" not only be more honest, but sound better?
