Leafs 4 Penguins 1 Now you know how its done?
All the other teams in the league should have watched this game to show them how to shut down Crosby and Malkin. Don't have awe or respect for their talents and check them into the ground. Leafs did it easily. You allow these two guys to roam around unchecked and they will kill you.

I was thrilled to see the Leafs play (other than the 2nd period when Reimer was their best player on the ice by a mile) their best game of the year. I've said for years- if you give Crosby space to work he'll eat you alive. Give him an inch he'll take 10 feet.
I'll point out that Phaneuf and Gunnarsson have done a pretty good job of holding elite players pointless (last Sat they held the Toews/Kane line pointless, and have generally shut down top lines). The Leafs (who have been a possession nightmare) did better at evens last night possession-wise (unlike last Saturday when Chicago destroyed them in terms of possession)
With that being said, both teams came off losses the night before (the Leafs looked like absolute dog crap against Columbus).

I'm gonna be straight forward to u about the Pens. They clearly are the Denver Broncos of the NHL. Their offense scoring it's just extremely amazing. If you look at every game they play they always dominate outshooting their opponents by 10 to 15 shots. Look at each game they can get up to 35+ shots. But if you have the defense like the Bruins they can shutdown the Pens. That's why they swept the series last year.

I agree with the physical play against them. It can get into Crosby's head and knock him off his game. It should be pointed out however that the Leaf's goaltending was phenomenal last night. Reimer was great.
