Can you transfer your ps3 account over to the ps4?

will i also still be able to msg my ps3 friends who have not yet gotten the ps4

    as I recall, yes. But I'm not sure about the messaging

    It's not your PS3 account, that's your USER account. Though I believe you mean PSN account which your ONLINE account. If you do mean PSN (NOT PS3) account, then yes, of course, as it's still the same service.

    And yes, you can message friends, because again, it's still the same service.

    It's ALL PSN.
