How long before halloween should you make a pumpkin lantern?
We have never celebrated Halloween because we are Christians and don't agree with it. (I'm not saying every Christian doesn't, I'm saying I don't) Occasionally in my childhood we went to alternative 'light parties' and we are taking my little sisters to their first one this year. We have decided we will carve the symbol of a cross into a pumpkin, but we have never done this before and I'm not sure how long they last for. Can we make a lantern four days before the party?

Four would be fine,any more days will be pushing it.You can also keep it fresher when it's not lit,by wrapping it in Saran wrap and storing it in the fridge-wrap lid separate.Don't forget to make notch in you lid.If you want,you could also make one large cross in the middle and a small one on each side.Good luck!

Yea. It'll shrink a little, but it'll stay fine for about a week.
