These notifications have always popped up on my laptop saying systematic endpoint attacks have been blocked. What the heck does that mean? Can you please explain in simple English, not programmer's English.

I live in New Zealand and my reason for wanting to learn Arabic is so that I can communicate with immigrants who come to New Zealand, as well as to learn more about Arab culture. There is not one large group of people from any one Arab country where I live. After thinking about it for a long time, I was sure I wanted to learn MSA so that I could communicate with anybody. But it does seem a little less personal and since it's very academic, would I still be best to study a well-knowen dialect? (Levantine perhaps? Although that itself is a broad term?) I could probably find a tutor for 'Levantine', but there are so many less resources for learning dialects that since I do a lot of self study, it might be too hard. I haven't even heard of dialect dictionaries, how would I look words up?

Minecraft players, help me design a tresure hunt for my sister's Minecraft themed birthday party.?

My sister (Who's nine) loved Minecraft. I'm trying to surprise her by making an adventure tresure hunt that resembles what you might do on Minecraft. I thought I'll make chests out of cardboard or whatever, and put notes in them saying where to go next, and before they can get to some of the cests, the kids have to complete a challenge. Then at the end they find some 'diamonds' which is whatever candy I hide for them. Challenges I can think of are; jumping over furniture (The floor is lava) from one side of a room to another, crawling under a tunnel (caving) I'm a totally new player to Minecraft, so I thought I'd ask for some ideas on Yahoo. It doesn't all have to be indoors stuff, in fact, I could spread chests all around the neighborhood.

My sister has developed an interest in spies. I'm looking for a spy story I can read to her that has a girl character. I'll read it to her of course, so even though she's nearly 7, I think something aimed at 8-10 year olds would work.

I have been learning Arabic for about two months now. I can read Arabic script and know a few words. What dictionary should I get (for standard/written Arabic) that is easy for a complete beginner like me to use?

For my statistics project, I want to test my classmate's memory and concentration after drinking various levels of caffeine. I've thought about different tests, maybe a list of random or unusual words to memorise or a succession of colours or shapes. Maybe a card game where they have to focus on the cards moving and then say which one they saw before. What else could I use to test this?

I'm interested in one day teaching the English language as a career, but I don't want to be a general school teacher. I love people, cultures, and languages. I have helped friends with English and thought it would be a cool career. I also have experience learning languages myself so I know what it's like.

My question is for language teachers and people who have done related TESL or TEFL training; Is it easier to get particular jobs if you have a degree as opposed to a certificate.

In English (sorry if this seems obvious but I will just state it anyway) there are two words, "draw" means to make a picture with dry media, like a pen, or pencil, and paint means to use wet paint usually by brushing. Something I've been confused about is, what does the word "מצייר" specifically mean? I've heard it used for 'painting' and for 'drawing'. I've also heard the word "צבע" Obviously צבע means colour. Do you perceive there is any difference between the two words? תודה רבה Sorry if anyone doesn't like this question. To learn a language I have to ask silly questions and mess stuff up.

My sister is having a pop star themed birthday party for her seventh. I'm trying to create a menu of food that looks fancy and is kind of what a 'famous person' might eat but that fussy children will also eat. Help!

I can't really believe I'm asking this but, I am going to India soon and I have a list people to whom I have to send postcards. In New Zealand, where I live you can buy post cards in stationary shops and in tourist places. I generally pay around a dollar on a post card, but it could be as little as $0.20 or as much as $2.50. I want to know, about how much would I pay in India to buy a post card (not to post one)? ...So I have a rough estimate of how much it would cost.

It's going to be an animated film. I wrote one script for a story about Christmas. I know a particular contemporary Christmas song that would be perfect and has the same message about the story. The film will end up being much shorter than the total song.

Actually my brother wants to make the animation and it would then be published on his you tube channel. I've finally tracked down the record company that released found o the song. However, I'm wondering, is this actually worth applying for a licence? What kind of licence would I need?

I can't actually find any information on their website about what the copyright includes, but I can find a system where you can select what kind of licence you want and fill out a form online.

We have never celebrated Halloween because we are Christians and don't agree with it. (I'm not saying every Christian doesn't, I'm saying I don't) Occasionally in my childhood we went to alternative 'light parties' and we are taking my little sisters to their first one this year. We have decided we will carve the symbol of a cross into a pumpkin, but we have never done this before and I'm not sure how long they last for. Can we make a lantern four days before the party?

My little sister wants me to plan her birthday party. Originally she wanted a 'barbie pop star theme' and possibly a sleepover. That would be really cute and fun, but she wants to invite one of her best friends who is a boy. Does anyone have another idea I could possibly convince her to do that would be just as fun but more boy friendly.

I'm thinking if she does do a pop star thing then I should possibly focus on singing and drama and have a few pink barbie things but make orange or something the other main colour. I usually come up with quite good themed foods and games, but I'm having trouble with pop star.

Basically I am just looking for any fun ideas that you may have used with children this age.
