Is the Elder Scrolls better than The Legend of Zelda?

Don't get me wrong The Legend of Zelda is strong title the 1st 3rd person 3d rpg ever made. The thing is that The Legend of Zelda has been staying the same and same and The Elder Scrolls seems Expand there horizons with strong quest and more inovative features

It's apples and oranges in a way, but I'd agree, I think Elder Scrolls has grown much more than the zelda franchise over the years. I've lost all interest in the Zelda games, having absolutely loved them growing up, because they seem to be stuck... the graphics improve, the play-style gets updated, but you're still completing the same old sort of puzzles, fighting the same old sort of bosses in the same old 'find the weak-spot/special technique!' style, and the sounds, such as of a rupee being collected, are painfully shrill and outdated in a way that feels tired rather than retro. Twilight Princess was the last Zelda game I tried, and I couldn't get into it. When it got to this repetitive 'go collect twelve tear-things, three times..!' bit, I just gave up in boredom.

Elderscrolls on the other hand keeps innovating itself in new and exciting ways, while maintaining that sandbox freedom which makes them such unique and endlessly playable games. Though I can complain about how they've simplified the spells, armor, and enchantment systems since Morrowind, which was a game of incredible freedom, the improvements in graphics and playability outweigh all that considerably. Elderscrolls also has the far superior Lore, which has maintained and updated throughout the ElderScrolls game in a way that makes them incredibly immersive. When most games give me something to read about the story/characters/whatever, I skim/skip it. When I see an interesting looking book in Skyrim, I actually want to stop and read it.

I know they are both RPGs, but see them as totally different genra for some reason. I never NEVER saw TLOZ as RPG, for some reason, but Adventure game. While TES is more to the Role Playing side. PS: Yesterday I finnaly got my copy of Skyrim, even though I played it a lot on my dad's copy
