at the end of the movie vincent says: "for someone who was never meant for this world, i must confess i am suddenly having a hard time leaving it. of course they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. maybe I'm not leaving, maybe I'm going home"
Could someone please explain what this means, I know it may sound dumb but I do not really understand it, thanks

According to the Big Bang theory, everything in the universe was formed during the Big Bang. The same stuff which made the stars also eventually formed humans. So, for Vincent to say he's going home, he means that since humans are made of the same stuff as stars (or we started out as the same stuff as stars), then taking a rocket to space is in a way going home to the stars.
