How to get better at memorization?
I'm in honors anatomy and there's a lot of stuff you have to remember. Some kids can just pick it up in class and not even study. I go home and I study a lot, but they still do better than me. I make note cards and map out all the connections between stuff. It just really bothers me because its not just a few kids but almost the whole class. It's the first time that genially feel stupider than everybody around me. I knew I wasn't the smartest, but now I feel like the dumbest. So How can I get better at memorizing?
I have an 85 in the class but almost everyone has an A
I know an 85 isn't bad and I should be happy with it but my gpa is low and I'm trying hard to bring it up this year
Also we did this lab in class where we had to sort cards and stuff and i did over double the time of everyone else
that class makes me feel like I'm retarded

I don't know which of these 2 methods helped me the most throughout my life...
1. I used self-hypnosis suggesting to my self to "Lust after knowledge as I would Lust after a woman".
2. Use the "loci-memorization technique". Do a Google search and try to find a simplified explanation from the results.
I use "loci" extensively when I learn lines in plays, speeches and monologues. It also help with my music playing and theory.

It depends on you. Most of the time, repetition is key for memorization. If you keep doing something over and over you can memorize it well. Don't waste time making note cards and maps. That takes wayy too long and is very inefficient. Get a diagram of the human body, and just keep memorizing what goes where, do it 10 times. It will probably take the same time it takes you to make those notecards. Everyone learns differently. If you learn by writing it down, then write it down multiple times. If you learn by repetition than keep doing just that. You need to find what's best for you.
