Can I download some of the free apps that are for the iPad onto my laptop?
some of those apps are handy and preview looks good ... I am not interested in games of GPS {{that's old school for me - I have maps}} It is appreciated that you take the time to advise me ... THANKS

no its not supported....apps designed 4 ipad can ONLY run on ipad...or in some cases other I devices too....bt it cant run on laptop

All of the apps are designed for iOS, but if you have windows 8 there is an app store which you can browse (but it probably won't be there)

every GPS application has their own type of map, you can not switch between them
